pdfView Brochure This trainer accommodates the fundamental steps of accessing the hip labrum and performing a repair procedure including: patient positioning, working portal establishment, instrument placement, joint distraction, capsulotomy, arthroscopic visualization of the soft tissue, and labral repair by placement of anchors in the bone. The replaceable elements of the Hip Labrum Access and Repair Trainer include both a portion of skin and soft tissue of the upper lateral thigh, and the joint itself, which is comprised of the acetabulum, femur, capsule and labrum. The soft tissue is available in a clear and an opaque material for direct and arthroscopic visualization. Linear and rotational adjusters are provided to enable appropriate distraction and rotation for procedure simulation. Joint can be rotated up to 30 degrees and distracted up to 15 mm within the trainer.

The Hip Labrum Access and Repair Trainer accommodates either supine or lateral decubitus positioning. All bony structures, i.e., femur and acetabulum, are radio-opaque.
